A quartz breakfast bar built into a large kitchen island in a classic shaker style open-plan kitchen.

This kitchen was designed and installed for our customers who had just moved into their new home. They had a great vision for their new property and wanted to make immediate structural changes before unpacking their possessions.

The original layout of this space was comprised of two smaller rooms. So, to make a larger open-plan living space, the wall between the kitchen and dining room was removed. New flooring was laid down and a new boiler was installed before we got to work on the kitchen.

The couple decided on a timeless shaker style kitchen in complementing colours of sage and white. To enhance the classic style, we fitted brass handles, a brass kitchen tap and a butler sink. The Jade Carrara quartz worktop not only provides a hygienic and durable surface but helps to enhance the classic style.

The kitchen island with a built-in breakfast bar crates a natural divide between the kitchen and dining areas. It also provides additional worktop surface for preparing food and helps to make the room a much more sociable space.

As part of the kitchen refit, our team of installers built a new mantel around the freestanding range cooker. There were 2 reasons for this. Firstly, it is a neat and tidy way to house the extractor fan above the cooker. And secondly, it creates a cosy focal point for the kitchen and complements the overall style of the room.
