A modern shaker style kitchen with Taupe & Tobacco Oak worktop.

Our entire team was involved in the building of this new modern shaker style kitchen.

These customers approached us for help with updating their kitchen and utility room that had become rather tired. Their old kitchen was out of date, but also the layout was no longer working for them. So, we helped them to come up with a more ergonomic solution for the room.

We suggested relocating their fuse box from the larder into the utility room. This would then create the space needed for an integrated fridge/freezer. Their old freestanding cooker was replaced with an induction hob and ovens placed at a higher level.

Seamless Acrylic Worktops

They were keen to have some subtle blue colours in the kitchen. So, to follow on with the theme, we suggested shaker style doors in Partridge Grey with blue tones.

To keep the room easy to look after and minimise the maintenance, the clients opted for Wharf Seamless Select® worktops. Made from solid acrylic, they are very hygienic, fully waterproof and have the appearance of one solid worktop.

The worktops can be manufactured to whatever length, depth and thickness you need for your kitchen. As they are custom made, they can be produced to perfectly fit the dimensions of a kitchen. The seamless effect offers a naturally flowing appearance to the kitchen with a contemporary feel.

The kitchen sink is a silicone / grout-free seamlessly integrated moulded sink with drainer grooves formed into the worktop. This means that there will never be deterioration around the joints, so no future maintenance is required. With seamless joins, it is a very hygienic solution as there is nowhere for mould or bacteria to take hold.

Preparing the Room

Our team removed the old kitchen, the utility furniture and all the old appliances. The electrician relocated the fuse box into the utility room and prepared all the power points for the new appliances. This was followed by the plasterer, who skimmed the walls and ceiling, ready to be decorated by our decorator. The old radiator was capped off and a new one installed into a more logical location. Our flooring specialist removed the old flooring to finish the preparation for the new kitchen. (We laid the new LVT flooring once the kitchen was installed).

The kitchen is now equipped with modern, high spec appliances that help the customers cook in the most efficient way. All in all, the end result is a modern kitchen which meets the clients needs and expectations.
